Susan Joyce (DelSesto) Lennon


of Cranston, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Joseph L. Lennon (Ret. PPD).  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Carmino and Margaret (Masso) DelSesto.

Susan worked for the City of Providence for 37 years and retired as Payroll Supervisor, leaving a legacy of beloved friends and coworkers. She enjoyed going to the beach, gym and was an avid sports fan. Susan loved having weekly family gatherings with her beloved family and friends.  She will always be remembered for her fun-loving spirit, incredibly kind heart and her unmatched compassion for others.

Besides her husband, she was the devoted mother of Joseph C. Lennon and Brianna M. Lennon, both of Cranston; dear sister of former State Representative Joanne Giannini and her husband Stephen of Providence and the late Eugenia Pattek; loving aunt of Melissa Gamble-Campopiano and her wife Dr. Elizabeth Gamble-Campopiano and Amy McLaughlin; and loving great-aunt of Gabrielle, Garrett and Logan.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Saturday, June 30th at 8:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bartholomew Church, 305 Laurel Hill Ave., Providence at 10 a.m.  Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
