Ruth E. Caswell

87, of Saunderstown, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016 peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, after a long battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederic C. Caswell. Born in Portland, ME, Ruth was a daughter of the late David and Florence (Sheaff) Farrington. Ruth was a registered nurse for many years, before retiring. She is survived by her two children, James P. Caswell of Saunderstown and Judith L. Casey of Tiverton. Ruth was also the mother of the late Ellen S. Brady, cherished grandmother of eight and great grandmother of nine. She was the sister of Judith Caswell, Carol Maxfield, David Farrington and the late Dana Farrington. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service in Central Baptist Church on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Burial will be private.
