92, a lifelong resident of Cranston, entered into eternal rest on May 14, 2016 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence. He was the husband of 55 years to Annice (Hall) Ruggieri.
Peter was the son of the late Francesco and Onorata (Mancini) Ruggieri. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children Ronald, Deborah, and Frank, and his sisters Josephine Pursche, Anna Casale, and Gilda Narcisi. He was predeceased by his brother Nicholas and his sister Mary Casale. Peter is also survived by his grandchildren Mark, Michelina, Massimo, Cameron and Mia Ruggieri.
Peter worked for Rhode Island Sand & Gravel and Texas Instruments Inc. He was fond of telling stories about his work and how much he enjoyed it. He would say “if you love your job, you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” This was never more true in post-retirement; Peter worked at Casale’s Auto Body, a job made special by his friends at the shop and his nephew, Thomas Casale.
