61, of Cranston, passed away suddenly on February 14, 2017 at home. He was the beloved husband of Nanci (Gill-Havican) Silvestri. They would have celebrated their 12th anniversary in March. He was the son of the late Nicholas and Elena (Spaziano) Silvestri. Mr. Silvestri was a Senior Meter Technician for Providence Water for the past 28 years. He also worked part time for many years at the former Sha na na’s Club in Warwick. Nick was an avid sports fan, always rooting for the Yankees, the Patriots, and Providence College Basketball. He also had a lifelong love for The Beatles, and knew every word to every song, as well as every fact about them! His upbeat attitude and generous nature made him a friend to everyone he met.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children Nicole Palmer and her husband Robert of Brooklyn, CT, Lisa Silvestri of Providence, and his step-children, Kelly Havican of Coventry and Michael Havican of Warwick. He was the brother of Joyce McLellan and her husband Robert of Cranston. Nicholas was the former husband of Liz Silvestri.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, February 18th, at 9:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Augustine’s Church, 20 Old Road, Providence. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, 73 Church Street, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Kindly omit flowers.
