Nicholas J. Rossi

84, of Cranston, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Jeanette V. (VanDorpe) Rossi. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Luigia (Cardinale) Rossi. Nicholas was a sheet metal worker specializing in heating and air conditioning with Union Local #17 for over sixty years before his retirement. He took pride in his hard work ethic, loved spending time in his pool, driving his truck on the beach in Florida, being with his family, playing Black Jack, and traveling to Las Vegas and Italy.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Diane C. Balducci and her husband Joe, Debra A. Zarlenga, all of Cranston and Doreen A. Rubin and her husband Robert of Johnston. He was the cherished grandfather of Stacey, Kayla, Gianna, Christopher, Nicholas, and Tessa, and the great-grandfather of Jayden. He was the brother of the late Adelaide Masiello and Benedetto Rossi.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Friday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Rd., Cranston.  Entombment will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Our Risen Christ Garden  Mausoleum, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886
