Michael J. Michael Jr, 70, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.
Michael was the devoted husband of the late Mary E. (Smith) Michael. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Michael J. Michael and Anna T. (Roukous) Michael.
He was a graduate of Classical High School and Brown University. In his early career he held several government jobs, including the IRS, where he met his wife, Mary. He was later self-employed.
Michael was an avid sports fan and also enjoyed playing golf, basketball, and bocce, to name a few. He was a die-hard Yankees fan and also loved horse racing, the beach, spending time on Federal Hill, and listening to the oldies.
Exceptionally loyal and generous to family, friends, and strangers alike, Michael is lovingly remembered by his children Cassandra M. Michael of North Providence and Andrew J. Michael of Cranston. He is also survived by sisters Brenda (William) Travers, Bonnie (Bruce) Del Signore, Cherie (Ali) Osman, and brother Stephen J. Michael. He also leaves nephews Philip Del Signore, Trevor Osman, and Evan Warner; nieces Kali (Derrick) Grimes, Rebecca (Anthony) Zelano, and numerous cousins and friends.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. in St. George Maronite Catholic Church, 1493 Cranston St., Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Wednesday from 4 – 7 p.m.
