Maria "Mary" (Alessandro) Pitassi

94, of Johnston, passed away peacefully, on Monday, February 6, 2017, at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Pitassi. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Theresa (Rao) Alessandro. Mary was a bookkeeper for the former F. Ronci Company of North Providence for several years. In 1968, she then became an office manager for Carla Corporation of East Providence, until her retirement in 1984. Mary was a member of the Johnston Senior Center and was an avid golfer and reader.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Sylvia T. Bianco and her husband Joseph of Johnston. Mary was the cherished grandmother of Toni, Joseph, Michael (Dayna) and his twin brother Christopher (Lisa) Bianco, and the great-grandmother of Tyler Estey, Angelo, Abby, and Michael Bianco. She was the sister of Santa Mainelli of Providence, and the late Rose Grande, Evelyn DiFranco, and Doris Cassieri

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
