Marguerite 'Peggy' (Ward) Wilkinson

97, of Berlin, CT, formerly a long-time resident of Narraganset, RI passed away on June 30th, 2018.

Peggy was born in Cumberland, RI, the daughter of the late Beatrice (Garrott) Ward and late Alexander (Blue) Ward,graduated from Cumberland High School (’39) and married the love of her life, Richard L Wilkinson, Sr. in 1941. The couple settled in Southington, CT where they raised two children before relocating to Narragansett, RI where they lived together for 32 years.

Peggy was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She will be remembered warmly by all who knew her. She was also a skilled painter, loved taking walks along the beautiful beaches of South County and enjoyed water aerobics the South County YMCA.

Peggy was the beloved wife of the late Richard L Wilkinson, Sr, and loving mother of Beverly Winnicki & her husband Chet Winnicki, and the late Richard L Wilkinson, Jr. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Chester A Winnicki & his fiancée Brittany Mathes, Richard L Wilkinson, III, and Sarah Winnicki & her husband Ryan Simmons.

A memorial service will be held at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory-SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Rd. (Rt. 1A), Narragansett on Sunday, August 19th at 4pm.
