Louis "Tony" DeMichele

LOUIS “TONY” DeMICHELE, 97, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Home in East Greenwich.  He was the beloved husband for 66 years of the late Catherine “Kay” (Asciolla) DeMichele.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Antonio and Josephine (Sullo) DeMichele.

Tony was a postal clerk for the U.S. Postal Service for over 30 years before retiring and was a WW-II U.S. Army veteran.

He was the devoted father of Anthony L. “Tony” DeMichele and his wife Lorraine “Goody” of Saunderstown and Angela M. Silvaggio and her husband James of El Paso, TX; cherished grandfather of Adam DeMichele and his wife Andrea, Jessica Silvaggio-Saldivar and her husband Olaf, and Jason Silvaggio; loving great-grandfather of Lily and Carter DeMichele; and dear brother of the late Angie Ravo, Domenic DeMichele and Sue Catallozzi.

Tony’s family would like to thank the staff at St. Elizabeth Home for the exceptional care and attention given to him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 12th at 10 a.m. at the Cathedral of Saints Peter & Paul, 30 Fenner St., Providence, followed by entombment with military honors at Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
