George R. Vincent

68, of Cranston, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at his home. He was born in Providence, a son of the late Manuel and Barbara (Miller) Vincent. Mr. Vincent was a decorated Vietnam Army veteran with honors including a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a job search specialist for the State of RI for many years until his retirement.  After his retirement he continued to support the veteran community throughout his life.

He is survived by his daughters, Carla Joyce of Warwick, Renee Iammarino of Providence, his siblings, Manuel Vincent of Chepachet, Joseph DiNocco of FL, James Vincent PA, Patricia Vincent of Johnston, Ann Vincent of Riverside and his grandchildren, Ezekiel and Nora. He was also the uncle of many nieces and nephews, and Dad to his chocolate lab Lucy. George was also the beloved former husband of RoseAnn (Iafrate) Vincent and brother of the late Barbara Vincent Flynn and Timmy Vincent.

His funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10 am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by burial with military honors in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Disabled American Veterans, 1 Capitol Hill, Providence, RI 02908.
