70, of Port St. Lucie, FL, formerly of Cranston, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Port St. Lucie Medical Center, FL. He was the beloved husband of Phyllis (Glasberg) Zito. Born in Providence he was the only child of the late Frank J. and Elena (Gallo) Zito. Frank was a police officer serving with the Cranston Police Department for twenty-eight years before his retirement in 1996. He was a member of the Cranston Retired Police Officers Association.
Besides his wife he is survived by his loving sons, John F. Zito and his wife Glo of LaMesa, CA, and Ronald F. Zito of Cranston. Frank was the cherished grandfather of Penelope A. Zito of North Providence.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Monday 4-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O.
