David A Amato

66, of Cranston , passed away peacefully on March 19th surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Laura Juskalian for 47 years. He leaves behind his brothers: John (Maryann) and Robert (Dolly) and his sister Anne Marie Hickey (Timothy) , sister in law Debbie Amato and the late Angelo Amato. David also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. He was loved by all who knew him.

He originally co-owned Casino Greenhouse and for the past 35 years, he managed operations for his brother John at Amato’s Greenhouses. David was an avid sports fan, especially the NY Yankees, NY Giants and the PC Friars . He coached his Casino Greenhouse Little League teams to many championships in the 80’s  He was a long standing member of the Laurel Hill Social Club.

The Amato family would like to extend their gratitude to David’s friend Joe Rastella for all his help this past year, and to his great neighbors for being there for him.

His funeral will be held on Thursday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston., Burial will take place in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS : Wednesday 4-7 pm.
