71, passed away at home Monday, August 22, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Lynne (Synowiec) Wicks. Born in Providence, he was the son of Harold R Wicks and Lucy (Eacuello) Wicks. He resided in Cranston but loved spending his time at his second home in Charlestown. A 1969 high school graduate of Cranston High School East, and also receiving his Bachelor's Degree in plant and soil science from the University of Rhode Island, Craig was a talented natural athlete and was inducted into the Bridgton Academy Hall of Fame as a member of his undefeated football team in 1970. He participated in many road races and also completed the Ocean State Marathon
Craig owned and operated Dellaria Salon in Cranston for over 40 years. He enjoyed making wine with his brother-in-law, son and nephews and frequently organized wine dinners at the Italo-American Club of Providence where he also played cards on a regular basis. One of his greatest passions was for gardening and land scape design, as he was a collector of unique plants and trees. He also was an avid fisherman and a passionate guitar player and played regularly with friends and relatives
Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Hilary and Colette Wicks, his son Zachary Wicks and his two grandchildren, Cameron and Giselle Andrews. He also leaves his brother, Kurt Wicks, and his two sisters, Pamela Micozzi and Candace Wicks and their families.
A visitation will be held Friday, September 2nd from 4:00 to 7:00PM in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. A private Inurnment will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
