Anthony "Tony" Russo

of Applegate Rd., Cranston, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Cedar Crest Nursing Center in Cranston.  He was the beloved husband of the late Filomena (Santurri) Russo.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Franciso “Paul” and Rose (Iannotti) Russo.

Tony was the founder of Russo’s Auto Body in Cranston and was a WW-II U.S. Army Air Corps veteran.

He was the devoted father of Anthony P. Russo and his wife Terry of Tiverton and Barbara A. Russo and Robert J. Russo, both of Cranston; dear brother of Lena Sisti of Cranston, Joseph Russo of Johnston and the late Matilda Lemay; dear friend of Anna Hahn of Cranston; and loving grandfather of numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter.

His funeral will be held on Monday, October 2nd at 10 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston at 11 a.m. Burial with military honors will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are Sunday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
