William "Bill" A. Pirraglia

William "Bill" A. Pirraglia

of Gillan Avenue, Warwick, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Cedar Crest Nursing Center in Cranston.  He was the beloved husband for 30 years of Ann M. (Magno) Pirraglia.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Viola G. (Tuite) Duff and the late Anthony W. Pirraglia.

Bill was a graduate of Warwick Veteran’s High School, Boston College and Bryant University, where he earned his Master’s Degree in Business Management.

He enjoyed a long career in the banking industry.  Notably, he was the youngest General Manager/CEO of State Employees Credit Union, (now RI Credit Union), at the age of 29.  After retiring, Bill became an independent consultant and author of several self-help books.  His greatest joy was coaching his three grandsons in baseball.

Besides his wife Ann, he was the devoted father of Matthew C. Pirraglia and his wife Deonne of Warwick, Michelle M. Novello and her husband Matthew of Bernardsville, NJ and Alexandra M. Pirraglia of Warwick; loving grandfather of Lucas and Nicholas Pirraglia, Ethan Banspach and Alessia Novello, and dear brother of Janet M. McSweeney of FL, Judith Keenan of Warwick and Geraldine Beaudoin of West Warwick.

Bill was an enthusiastic and avid sports fan, loyal to all Boston sports teams, especially his alma mater, Boston College.

His family wishes to thank the physicians, nurses and staff of Cedar Crest Nursing Center – Generations for their dedication and loving care.

His funeral will be private.
