WILLIAM J. POULOS

74, died Sunday November 23, 2008. He was the husband of Bessie (Stamatakos) Poulos. Born in Providence he was the son of the late James and Eleftheria (Papaiouannou) Poulos. William was employed as an iron worker and a member of their Local #37 union until his retirement. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War and attended Central High School and Johnston and Wales College. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter Vikki Poulos of Warwick, he was the brother of Christ Poulos of Coventry, Gregory Poulos of West Warwick and the late Mary Fedele, Nicholas Poulos, Helen Buckner and Elizabeth Papadopoulos. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held on Saturday at 10am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by services in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church 175 Oaklawn Ave. Cranston at 11am. VISITING HOURS Friday 4-8PM. Burial with military honors will be in North Burial Ground Providence. Memorial contributions may be made to the church building fund.
