WILLIAM J. "BILLY" PATALANO

93, of Providence, passed away on December 1, 2010 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the beloved husband of Josephine (Napolitano) Patalano. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Gulielmo and Brunella (Rendene) Patalano. Mr. Patalano was employed as a buyer and manager for City Hall Hardware in the Electrical Division for 40 years until his retirement. Billy was a US Navy WWII Veteran and a member of the Alpine Country Club, Bradford Club, Johnston Senior Center, 1011 VFW Post, Salvatore Mancini Center in North Providence and was a Congressional Aide for Congressman Edward Beard, past Sergeant of Arms for Manton Seniors as well as being an avid sports fan. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter Paula Patalano her husband Paul Demessianos of Middletown, RI. Mr. Patalano was the brother of the late Louise and Willemena Patalano. His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Augustine Church, Mt. Pleasant Avenue in Providence at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Sunday 4:00-7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33nd Street, New York, NY 10016.
