SIRAVO, WILLIAM J., JR., 64, of Cranston, went to his eternal home Saturday, June 26, after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was the beloved husband of Brenda Hardt Siravo. Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of Carolyn (Reed) Siravo and the late William Siravo, Sr. Billy graduated from Providence College with a master’s degree in Biblical Studies. He spent a decade in California working as a salesman, surfing, skiing, and enjoying the West coast culture. When he returned to Rhode Island he was a teacher, welder, carpenter, and avid cyclist racer. He taught Bible at Calvary Chapel and at Master’s Regional Academy. He served as a missionary to India and as an acting pastor at Antioch Chapel. Jesus and his beloved dog, Ongoza were among his greatest joys! Billy’s endless compassion and humor inspired all who were blessed to know him.
William is survived by his sisters, Susan Siravo, Lee Eddy, Mary Wheeler and her husband Geoffrey, his brother Stephen Siravo and his wife Kate, cherished nieces and nephews, Dr. Reed Love and his wife Laura, Stetson, Taylor, and Zach Eddy, Emily, Carolyn and Isabel Wheeler, Olivia Siravo and great nephew Leland Love.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial service at 11 am Saturday, July 10, at Apponaug Pentacostal Church, 75 Prospect Street, Warwick, RI 02886. A collation reception will immediately follow the service at the church. Visiting hours are 4 to 7 pm Friday, July 9, at NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, RI 02910. Burial at St Ann’s Cemetery is private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the MS Dream Center of Cranston, RI or to North Kingstown Assembly of God Missions.
