WILLIAM E. GORMLEY

86, of Narragansett passed away on Friday, July 15, 2011 at South County Hospital, Wakefield. He was the beloved husband of sixty-one years to Rita M. (Cullinan) Gormley. Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late Edward and Christine (Lithgoe) Gormley. Mr. Gormley was a sale representative of office equipment for various companies in the Providence area for thirty-five years before his retirement. He was a US Navy veteran serving during WW II. Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, Elizabeth Picotte and her husband Edward of Coventry, Daniel E. Gormley and his wife Denise of Smithfield, Stephen P. Gormley and Danielle Peach of West Warwick, Patrick R. Gormley and his wife Joy of East Providence. William was the father of the late Michael W. Gormley. He was the father-in-law of Gail (Delano) Gormley of Warwick. He was the cherished grandfather of eleven and the great-grandfather of four. William was the brother of the late Edward "Teddy" Gormley. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, (Rte. 1A) Narragansett on Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Point Judith Road, Narragansett. Burial with Military Honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. VISITING HOURS Monday 5-8 p.m.
