77, of Cranston, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of fifty-two years to Anna M. (Migliori) Ferri.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Antonio and Mary Ellen (Foster) Ferri. Mr. Ferri was a maintenance mechanic for the Cranston Housing Authority for twenty-eight years before retiring in 1999.William was a US Army veteran. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church. Bill was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren's activities and functions.Bill was a coach and manager for CWLL and a former youth hockey coach.
Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children Annette M. Ferri of Providence, William A. Ferri, Jr., MD and his wife Mary Ellen of Sewickley, PA, David J. Ferri of Cranston, Kenneth R. Ferri of North Kingstown, Raymond T. Ferri, MD, PhD. and his wife Stephanie of Seattle, WA, Maryann E. Crudale and her husband Anthony of Cranston, Paul E. Ferri and his wife Beth of South Windsor, CT. Bill was the father-in-law of the late Theresa M. Ferri and the grandfather of the late Joseph Anthony Crudale. He was cherished grandfather of Caroline, Jason, Brian, Anthony, Justin, Matthew, Nathan, Erica, and Kaleigh. Bill was the brother of Anthony Ferri of Central Falls, Frederick Ferri of North Providence, Rosa Janelle of North Providence, and the late Arthur, Edward, Marshall, and Eleanor Ferri, and Catherine Simonetti.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
