William DiCandio

age 87, of Flintstone Rd, Narragansett, a maintenance machinist at Narragansett Brewery for 20 years until its closing, passed away December 15, 2020 at South County Hospital.

He was the husband of Elaine (Hamilton) DiCandio.  They were married for 55 years.

Born in Providence, a son of Carlo and Lula (Pruitt) DiCandio, he had lived in Providence, Johnston and East Providence before retiring to his summer home in Narragansett in 1988.

A graduate toolmaker of Universal Windings Company (Leesona Corp.), he was also a graduate of Rhode Island College.

After the closing of Narragansett Brewery in Cranston, he was employed at Bostitch, Sealol and Garvey Mfg.

He was the brother of the late Ida Akroyd, Sadie Gabriel, Petrina (Bea) Montonaro and Carl DiCandio.

Services will be private at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Providence.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choosing to continue spreading kindness to all, as Billy did.
