93, of Amanda Street, Cranston, peacefully passed away on Monday, April 19, 2010 at home with his loving wife, Maria "Elsie" (Dos Santos) Cote, by his side. Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Robert and Anna (McKenna) Cote. Bill was an avid member of the RI Laborers Union and worked in construction for most of his life on many of the major projects in RI. Bill left a little piece of himself in every building he worked on. A veteran, he proudly served his country for nearly 5 years in the artillery unit of the US Army under General George Patton in World War II. He was a devoted father and grandfather, who treasured every moment spent with his family. He loved children, animals, and was a friend to anyone in need.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving daughter, Nancy Marie Cote and his grandson Charlie Imondi, both residing in Cranston.
His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 10:15am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:15am, in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston. Burial with Military Honor will be held in R.I. Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter.
