William G. Brooks

88, of West Warwick, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021 in RI Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of JoAnn (Dionne) Brooks for 44 years. Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Victor and Helen (Roberts) Brooks. Mr. Brooks was a Zamboni driver for Brown University for 35 years before retiring. William was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War.

Besides his wife JoAnn, he is survived by his two loving sons, Nicholas Brooks and his wife Erica of North Scituate, and Sean Brooks of West Warwick. He was the cherished grandfather of Keegan Brooks. William was the brother of Robert Brooks of Johnston, MaryJane Brooks-Murphy of Brevard, NC, the late Fredrick Russell, Elaine Kemble, Florence Presley, James Russell, Jean Russell, and Barbara Cowsill. He also leaves behind his childhood friend Anthony “Dick” D’Amore.

His funeral will be held on Monday, Dec. 20th, at 9:00 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston. VISITING HOURS: Sunday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Burial with military honors will be held in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
