of Cranston, passed away Friday, December 24, 2021 at RI Hospital in Providence. Born in Providence, he was the beloved son of the late Frank and Anna (Raviele) Bassi.
Bill was the owner of Bassi Associates. He was a Magna cum laude graduate of Classical High School and graduated from URI earning his degree and master’s degree in electrical engineering. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and a member of Italian American War Veterans Post #8 in Cranston. Bill enjoyed golf, bicycling, fishing, gardening, playing billiards and cooking Italian specialties.
He was the dear brother of Elena M. Ciccone and her husband State Senator Frank A. Ciccone, III of Providence, Maria Bassi-Lauro of FL and the late Frederick V. Bassi; loving companion of Janet Bailey of Johnston; loving uncle of several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bartholomew Church, 305 Laurel Hill Ave., Providence at 11 a.m. Burial with military honors will be at St. Ann Cemetery Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. (MASKS ARE REQUIRED).
