WILFRED E. "FRED" GAUL

89 of Providence passed away on Friday, September 09, 2011 at Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island, Providence. He was the husband of Theresa " Terry " ( Greenhalgh ) Evans-Gaul. He was born in Providence a son of the late Robert and Madeline ( Dubois ) Gaul. Mr. Gaul was a supervisor employed by the former Leesona Corporation for 42 years, retiring in 1984. He was a WW II Army Veteran and a member of the Kelley-GazzeroVFW Post of Cranston and a member of the Fall River Country Club. Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Marie Baccare and her husband John of Sterling, CT, Susan Pierson of Warwick and Sharon Evans of Newport. He was the father of the late Thomas Evans of Newport. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Susan, John, Tim, Melissa, William, 8 Great Grandchildren and was the brother of the late Madeline Holden, John, Robert, Bernard " Bernie "and James Gaul. His funeral will be held on Monday at 9am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Charles Borromeo Church, Providence at 10am. VISITING HOURS Sunday 4-8pm. Interment, with military honors, will take place in North Burial Ground, Providence. Kindly omit flowers.
