WALTER SECOVICH

85, of So. Attleboro passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro. He was the husband of the late Virginia (Ward) Secovich. He was born in Westford, MA son of the late Matthew and Dora (Britko) Secovich. Mr. Secovich was an Electrical Engineer employed by New England Electric Systems (National Grid) and a Plant Engineer at the Day-O-Lite Corporation. He was a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology and Northeastern University. Walter enjoyed the outdoors, horseshoe playing, gardening and found great pleasure fishing with his grandsons. He loved Boston sport teams especially the Red Sox. One of his favorite pastimes was hanging with his Elk buddies at the Attleboro Lodge of Elks #1014. He enjoyed his trips to Virginia Beach, VA, Key West, New York City and Lake Winnipesaukee. He is survived by his children, Jane Secovich of So. Attleboro, Matt Secovich of Southwick, MA, Cheryl Weisman and her husband Steve, his favorite son-in-law, of Cranston. He was the beloved grandfather of Jameson and Rylan Secovich, and brother of Nina Galusha and the late Peter Secovich, George Secovich, Helen Kirpatrick and Ester Beskalo. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a gravesite service on Friday at 1pm at the Newell Burying Ground, 1502 West Street, So. Attleboro, MA. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
