WALTER L. GIBSON

83, of Warwick, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012. He was the beloved husband of the late Louise (Zangrilli) Gibson. Walter was born in Capron, Illinois, a son of the late John and Elizabeth (Coulter) Gibson. Mr. Gibson was a sheet metal worker for the Local # 17 and retired from Amtrak. Walter was also a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran. He is survived by his loving children, Larry Gibson and his wife Sue of Cumberland, Christine Giblin and her husband Terry of West Warwick, Janet Whiteley and her husband Ted of Cranston and Karen Gibson of Cranston. He was also the cherished grandfather of six, and was the brother of Robert Gibson of Illinois and the late Ella Peterson, Eugene Gibson and Marguerite Bokker. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday at 11 am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by burial with military honors in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
