Vitorino "Victor" Cabrita

65, of Cranston passed away Friday April 19, 2024, with his family by his side. Born in Sao Bartolomeu De Messines, Portugal he was the son of the late Jose and Mariana (Simoes) Cabrita. He was the beloved husband for almost 44 years of Maria (Trindade) Cabrita.

Victor was a paratrooper in Portugal and was proud that he served his home county. He was also an avid marathon runner, golfer, and motorcyclist. He had just retired from XPO logistics where he was a truck driver for the last 10 years. Prior to that he worked for over 20 years as a tool maker for Leviton.  He was also a member of the Cranston Portuguese Club, and Our Lady of the Rosary Church.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children Susie Cabrita- Cook and her husband Shaun, and Nelson Cabrita. He was the devoted grandfather of Sofia Cook and Mateo Cook. He was the brother of Armindo Cabrita and Antonio Jose Cabrita. He was predeceased by a brother Manuel Cabrita. He leaves several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.

His funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, will leave at 8:45 on Thursday, April 25, 2024. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 21 Traverse St., Providence. Followed by burial at St. Ann Cemetery. VISITING HOURS 5:00- 8:00pm, on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Cancer Society, PO Box 7312, Warwick, RI 02886.
