Vito Paglia

88, of North Providence, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Miriam Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband for 66 years of Dolores (Coppola) Paglia. Born in Panni, Italy, he was the son of the late Raffaele and Maria (Lapolla) Paglia.

A hair stylist for 65 years, he was the owner of Vito’s Hair Salon on Smith St. North Providence. Vito was an accomplished wine maker winning many national and international competitions. His pride and joy was his family and spending time with them. He was a member of the Pannese Society and an avid gardener.

Besides his wife, Vito was the devoted father of Maria Marasco (Ralph) of Narragansett, Andrea Paglia, Michelle Bacon and Elissa Mello (Arthur) all of North Providence, cherished grandfather of Roger Erich Bacon (Nicole) and Arthur Edward Mello; and dear brother of the late Giuseppe Paglia, Antonio Paglia and Michelina Morra. Vito’s family included many loving nieces, nephews; he was Papa Vito to Jennifer, Joseph, Alexandria, Joseph Rocco III Pezza and Shawn, Kate, Justin, Megan and Zachary Marasco, all of whom he loved dearly.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, June18th at 8:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Augustine’s Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Monday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
