62 of Cranston, passed away unexpectedly on January 27, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen A. (Johnson) Gallo for 39 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of Nunziatina (Capuano) Gallo and the late Gaetano Gallo.
Vito served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1979 - 1984.
He went on to work in the aerospace industry for over 37 years, retiring as a Quality Assurance Director for Transdigm Group Inc. Brea, Ca. in 2020. He then returned home to his native R.I. to be with his children and family.
Vito had a passion for learning and spent a large portion of his adult life continuing his college education exploring new and engaging interests. Vito enjoyed many things, history, golf, genealogy and spending time at his summer cottage making memories with his cherished family and friends. He leaves an unforgettable impression on so many lives.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his loving children. Christopher Gallo, Bridget Gallo and Michael Gallo all of Cranston. Dear siblings, Frank Gallo and his wife Gail, Caterina Rabaiotti and her husband Richard,
Libera Sands and her husband Daniel, Mary Ann Gallo and her husband Thomas. Sister in law Deborah Johnson, brothers in law Robert Johnson, James Johnson, John Johnson and his wife Kim. He is pre deceased by brother in law Richard Johnson. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many dear friends.
MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American heart association.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Vito’s Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 4th at 11:00a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston. Burial with Military Honors will take place in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. VISITING HOURS are Thursday, February 3rd from 5:00- 7:00 p.m. at Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.
