VITO FERRI

81, of Evans St., Johnston, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband for 57 years of Pasqualina (Delli Carpini) Ferri. Born in Capriati a Volturno, Italy, he was the son of the late Federico F. and Maria (Viccione) Ferri.

Mr. Ferri was a masonry contractor in the construction industry for many years before retiring. He was an accomplished saxophone musician playing in many bands. He also served in the Italian Army and was a member of Santa Maria di Prata Society.

Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Fred F. Ferri, MD and his wife Christina and Maria F. Lucier and her husband David, all of Cranston; loving grandfather of Dr. Vito F. Ferri, Dr. David J. Lucier, Christopher A. Ferri and John M. Lucier; and dear brother of Carmelo Ferri of Venezuela and Anna Delli Carpini of North Providence.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Saturday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco's Church, 927 Atwood Ave., Johnston at 10 a.m. Interment will be at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston. VISITING HOURS FRIDAY 4-7 p.m.
