VIRGINIA (GUARINO) WILSON

101, of Golini Dr., Johnston passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Bethany Nursing Home of Providence after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Eric J. Wilson. She was born in Providence a daughter of the late Michele and Teresa (Costanzo) Guarino and she had resided in Johnston since 1945. Mrs. Wilson was a supervisor employed by the former US Rubber Co. for 35 years until her retirement. She continued working for an additional 3 years in the same capacity at Mine Safety of Esmond. She is survived by her son John with whom she lived; a daughter Virginia Uva and her husband Alexander; two granddaughters, Kathleen Rossoni and her husband Patrick; Elaine Willard and her husband Thomas; two great-grandsons, Michael Rossoni and his wife Lisa and Eric Rossoni and his wife Margaret; a great granddaughter, Alexandra Willard. She was the sister of the late Mariano, Paul, Emilio, Joseph and Peter Guarino, Ella Rattenni, Helen Sczuroski and Lucy Taborelli. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Smithfield Emblem Club, the Smithfield Senior Citizens Center and a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Church. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 10am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Robert Bellarmine Church at 11am. VISITING HOURS MONDAY MORNING 9-10am. Burial will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Robert Bellarmine Church Food Pantry, 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston 02919.
