VIRGINIA (PENNINE) DEL GIZZO

83, of Narragansett, died Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Ludovico DelGizzo. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Savario and Ella (Decorsey) Pennine. Virginia was an excellent listener, she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She was a resident of Bonnet Shores since 1966 and her loves included boating and the beach. Virginia is survived by her two sons, Dennis J. DelGizzo and his wife Joan of Wickford and Dr. William L. DelGizzo and his partner Christine Markut of Narragansett. She was the loving grandmother of Sarah E. DelGizzo and Eric S. DelGizzo. Virginia was the sister of Edward Pennine of North Kingstown and the late Eleanor Scalera, Ernestine Granieri, Edna Mangiante and Dr. William Pennine.

Funeral from the Nardolillo Funeral Home, SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, Narragansett on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Veronica Chapel, Boston Neck Road, Narragansett.
