Virginia Aguilar

We announce the passing of Virginia Aguilar, who left this world on February 18, 2025, surrounded by love. She was the wife of the late Mario Figueroa. Born in Guatemala, Virginia was the daughter of the late Brigido and Victoria Castañeda. A dedicated registered nurse, she cared for her patients with compassion and respect.

She was a woman of wisdom, sharing her thoughts with sincerity and a thoughtful heart. Her love of classical music filled her home with beautiful melodies. A lover of poetry, her words carried a subtle grace that encouraged us to see the world with greater reflection and care. She was also deeply devoted to her faith, spending much of her time reading the Bible and reflecting on its teachings.

Above all, she was a devoted mother to Alba, Karina, Mario Armando, Xiomara and her husband German Aguilar. Loving grandmother of Marcos, Laura, Genseth, Victoria, Oscar, Gabriela, Benjamin, Emily, Elizabeth and German Jr. Loving great-grandmother of Melany and Regina. Beloving mother of two cockatiels, Paco and Goyito, her feathery sons.

Though she is no longer with us, her memory will live on in the music she cherished, the nature she loved, and the poetry she generously shared. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, RI 02910. She is deeply loved and will be missed beyond measure by her family, friends, and brothers and sisters from the congregation.

Burial will be private.
