VINCENZO CONTI
82, of Atwood Ave. Johnston, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the devoted husband of Maria C. (Moracci) Conti.
Born in Pico, Italy, he was the son of the late Erasmo and Giovanna (Abatecola) Conti.
Vincenzo worked as a custodian for Stop & Shop for many years, before his retirement. Besides his wife, he was the beloved father of Erasmo Conti and his wife Lucia, Rosanna Simeone and her husband Domenico, and Patrizia Conti Wheatley and her husband Wayne; loving grandfather of Enzo, Cinzia, Claudio, and the late Sabrina; dear brother of Salvatore Conti, Giuseppe Conti, Giovanni Conti, Carlo Conti, Marianna DiManna, Rosetta Conti, Natalina Conti, Maria Paris, Rita Paris, Immacolata Grossi and the late Constantino Conti. He is also survived by his family pet Brutus. His funeral will be held on Friday at 9:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Ghost Church, Providence at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
