VINCENZA BASILE
VINCENZA (MENDILLO) BASILE, 99, of North Providence, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Lorenzo Basile.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Adelina (Cioffi) Mendillo.
Mrs. Basile was an assembler in the jewelry industry for many years, before retiring.
She is survived by her loving sons, Anthony Basile and his wife Josephine of Temple City, CA, and Mario Basile and his wife Esther of Johnston; her dear sister, Assunta Mendillo of Italy; and her loving 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Pasqualina Franco and Angelo, Alfonso, Michael and Antonio Mendillo.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Saturday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas Church, Fruit Hill Ave., Providence at 10 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
VISITING HOURS Friday 4-8 p.m.
