VINCENT A. MELUCCI

83, of Cranston, passed away on Friday, November 05, 2010 at home. Vincent was the devoted husband of the late Norma (Wilby) Melucci who passed away peacefully at home on September 29, 2009. Vincent was born in Providence and was the son of the late Carlo and Marghuerita (DiPilla) Melucci. Mr. Melucci was a war veteran who served in the Army Air Force during WWII. He was employed as a cartographer for the U.S. Government for 37 years until his retirement. Norma was born in Providence and was the daughter of the late Frank and Lottie (McLeod) Wilby. She retired after 15 years of credit management with WT Grant, Co. Vincent was an avid bowler and golfer but his true love was coaching youth football in the C.L.C.F enjoying many successful years including winning one championship with an undefeated season. Vincent and Norma are survived by their three children Donna DelMonico of Williamsburg, VA, Stephan and Jeffery Melucci, both of Cranston. Vincent was a sibling to a sister and three brothers and Norma of three sisters and two brothers. They were loving grandparents of five grandchildren; Louis and Vincent DelMonico of San Diego, CA, Kathryn DelMonico of Williamsburg, VA, R.J. and Chris Sanchez of Cranston, RI. They had one great granddaughter Bella Donna Del Monico-Page of Williamsburg, VA. His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco's Church, Atwood Avenue, Johnston at 10:00 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will be held in R.I. Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter. VISITING HOURS: TUESDAY morning 8:00-9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Meeting Street, 1000 Eddy Street, Providence, R.I. 02905-4739.
