Vincent Matarese

87, formerly of Johnston, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2020.  He was the husband of the late Antonetta (Tomao) Matarese.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Filippo and Anna (Calise) Matarese.

Mr. Matarese worked for Grinnell Corporation before retiring.  He enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, music and painting.

He leaves his niece and her husband Arlene and Ronald.  He was the brother of the late Mary Neri, Gino and Peter Matarese.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Noon in St. Rocco Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston.  Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Eleanor Slater Hospital Activities Department, 111 Howard Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920.
