72, of Stone Drive, Cranston, died Friday, November 14, 2008 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Joann C. (Mercurio) Lurgio. They were married for fifty-one years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Anthony and Ermalinda "Mildred" (Petrone) Lurgio. Mr. Lurgio was a driver and salesman for Frito-Lay Company of Cranston for thirty-eight years until his retirement. He was a communicant and former usher at St. Bartholomew's Church. Vincent enjoyed sports, politics and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, Denise A. Lurgio of Johnston and Michael V. Lurgio of Cranston. Mr. Lurgio was the brother of Donna M. Monaghan of Narragansett and the late Gerald Lurgio. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bartholomew's Church, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
