Vincent " Mr. Brown " Lombardo 94, of Cranston and Boynton Beach , FL passed away on Monday August 13, 2007 at home. He was the husband of Theresa ( Salvati ) Lombardo for the past 61 years. He was born in Providence a son of the late Angelo and MariAntonia ( DiAgostino ) Lombardo. " Mr. Brown " was the owner & operator of the former Evelyn's Spa and Grill on Pocasset Ave. in the Silver Lake section of Providence for more than 50 years , retiring in 1986. He was a WW II Navy veteran serving with the Sea Bees overseas from 1942-1945. He was a member of the 58th Sea Bee Battalion, a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a life member of the Knights of Columbus since 1952 and a life member of the Providence Lodge of Elks Providence Lodge #14. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church.
Beside his wife he is survived by his daughters Donna Lee (Lombardo) Kaelin of Cranston and Boynton Beach, FL and Patricia L. Lombardo of Boynton Beach, FL, his son in-law and best friend John Kaelin Jr. He was the brother of the late Helen Nardolillo, Anna Collins, Jennie Minasian, Philomena Appleton, Julia, Frank, Anthony, Albert and Henry Lombardo. His funeral will be held on Thursday at 9am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian burial in St. Mary's Church, Cranston St., Cranston at 10am. VISITING HOURS THURSDAY MORNING 8:30-9:30AM. Entombment with Military Honors will take place in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum, St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
