VINCENT JOSPEH GEREMIA

83, of Sewell Rd., Narragansett passed away peacefully on August 9, 2009 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Rose (Lancia) Geremia. He was born in Providence a son of the late Vincent and Julia (Manera) Geremia and he had resided in Narragansett for the past 21 years, previously residing in Providence. Mr. Geremia was a controller employed at Quonset Point Naval Base for 29 years until his retirement. He was an active communicant of St. Mary's, Star of the Sea Church and member of the South Kingstown YMCA which he attended daily. He is survived by his children, James J. Geremia and his wife Deborah Ann of Saunderstown, Linda L. Callahan and her husband Thomas of Stafford Springs, CT and Judith A. Niedbala and her husband Dennis of So. Kingstown. He was the devoted grandfather of Casey Warner, Kristin Geremia, Jennifer Callahan, Mathew and Julia Niedbala. He is also survived by his twin sister Julia Sardelli of Cranston and brother of the late William Geremia. His funeral, with military honors will be held on Thursday at 8:15am from the Nardolillo Funeral Home SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL 1111 Boston Neck Rd. ( Rt 1A ), Narragansett followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's, Star of the Sea Church, 864 Pt. Judith Rd., Narragansett at 9:30am. VISITING HOURS Wednesday 4-7pm.
