VINCENT DiFALCO

90, of Cranston St., Cranston passed away on Monday, January 14, 2013 at home.

He was the husband of Anna (Antuono) DiFalco.

He was born in Providence a son of the late John and Annie (Russillo) DiFalco.

Mr. DiFalco was a Rigger Foreman employed by the former Zavota Bros. of Providence later changed to Hallmore Co for more than 40 years until his retirement. Mr. DiFalco was a WW II Coast Guard Veteran and was aboard the first ship to land during the Normandy Invasion. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart for his valor and heroism during the D-Day Invasion. He was a communicant and church usher at St. Mary's Church, Cranston for 55 years, a member of the Teamsters Union Local 251 and the VFW Post # 2396. Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Vincent DiFalco and his wife Jeanne of Cranston and Kenneth J. DiFalco of East Hampton, NY. He was the grandfather of Donna A. DiFalco-Hawes and Stephen Tavares and brother of Marianna Molnar of Johnston, Emma Sandbach of Cranston and the late Edward DiFalco and Mafalda " Muffy" DiSalvo. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 11am in St. Mary's Church, Cranston and may call at the Nardolillo Funeral Home on THURSDAY MORNING from 9:30-10:30am. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice of RI, 475 Kilvert St., Suite 400, Warwick, RI 02886
