VINCENT C. "JIMMY D." DeCESARIS

DeCESARIS, VINCENT C. "JIMMY D", 89, of Cranston, passed away on Tuesday August 18, 2009 at Scalabrini Villa in North Kingstown. He was the husband of the late Eva (DiTraglia) DeCesaris. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Ulderico and Maria (Celani) DeCesaris. Jimmy was the President of the former DeCesaris Construction Company and clerk of the works for the City of Cranston. He was one of the founding members of the Alpine Country Club, former member of the RI Home Builders, and member of the Disable American Veterans Domenic J. Romeo Chapter # 10. He was also an avid golfer and hunter. He is survived by his children; James H. DeCesaris and his wife Maureen of Cranston and Lorraine Mirra of Cranston, his three grandchildren and a brother Dante DeCesaris of Cranston. He was the father of the late Arthur T. DiPrete, grandfather of the late Joseph Mirra, and brother of the late Elio DeCesaris, Lola Williams, Clara Carnevale and Henry "Hank" DeCesaris. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church Cranston, followed by interment with Military Honors in St. Ann Cemetery Cranston.
