85, of Cranston, passed away on December 9, 2014 at Cherry Hill Manor in Johnston. Vincent was the husband of the late Sarah (Iervolino) D'Amico. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John and Ella (DelFino) D'Amico. Vincent was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War and co-owner of the former Park Barber Salon for many years, before his retirement. He was a life member and past president of the Cranston Lions, and a member of Melvin Jones Fellow Lions Clubs International, Scalabrini Council Knights of Columbus, and the National American Italian Foundation. Mr. D'Amico was also an active member of St. Mark's Church. Vincent was active in fundraising for the Meeting Street School and for the RI affiliate of the New England Diabetes Association.
He is survived by his two sisters Angela Forleo of Cranston, Velma Butmarc of Johnston, and the late Donald D'Amico. Vincent also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mark's Church at 11:00 a.m. VISITING HOURS are Saturday MORNING from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Burial, with Military Honors, will take place in St. Alexander Cemetery, Greenlawn Street, Warren, RI 02885. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's Church, Building Fund, 15 Garden Ct., Cranston, RI 02920-5701.
