Vincent J. "Vinny" Cappelluzzi

of Greenville passed away Monday December 5, 2022 at RI Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was the beloved husband of Bessie A. (Cardillo) Cappelluzzi, for 55 years.

Born in Providence he was the son of the late Joseph and Frances (DiLorenzo) Cappelluzzi, and a longtime resident of Johnston.

Vinny was a former chef at his family owned DiLorenzo’s 1025 Club for many years. He also was a chef at the Queen of Clubs Restaurant at Twin River formerly Lincoln Park and also worked as a teacher assistant at James L. Hanley Career and Technical Center at Central High School, Providence, and was a US Army Vietnam veteran. Vinny enjoyed cooking, gardening and making artificial floral arrangements. He loved the beach, vacationing in Florida and making people laugh. If you knew him, his sense of humor defined him.

Besides his wife he was the devoted father of Francesca Cappelluzzi; and dear brother of the late Jean Altieri, Frances Marzilli and Joseph Cappelluzzi, Jr.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Our Lady of Grace Church George Waterman Rd., Johnston at 11 am. Burial will be private.

Visiting Hours are Sunday from 2 pm – 5 pm at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston.
