VICTOR E. MARCHETTI

91, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at the Rhode Island Veterans Home, Bristol. He was the beloved husband of the late Elaine E. (Farrell) Marchetti. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Domenic and Albina (Petterutti) Marchetti. Victor was a sales representative for Bell-Simon Plumbing Supply Company for twenty years before his retirement. He spent over sixty years as a sales representative working for various plumbing supply companies in the Providence area. Victor was an assistant cub-master with Pack #10 Cranston for twelve years. He served on various committees with Troop #22, Providence for twelve years.. Victor was a WW II veteran serving in the US Navy. He was a baseball manager for St. Rocco's T.I.P. Baseball League. He was an usher and member of the Holy Name Society at St. Rocco's Church for many years. He is survived by his loving children, Linda A. Lanzi and her husband James, Victor E. Marchetti and his wife Nadine, all of Warwick, Stephen D. Marchetti and his wife Susan of Cranston. Victor was the cherished grandfather of nine. He was the brother of Edward Marchetti of Delray, FL and the late Alfred and Vera Marchetti, and Ida Rapa. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco Church, Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Entombment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Monday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Rocco Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston, RI 02919.
