VARANT "MEL" MELIKIAN

74, of Marlboro Street, Cranston, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday May 8, 2010. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Barsam and Sarah (Nazarian) Melikian. Mel was the owner and operator of Rhode Island Lamejun where he was a baker for over 40 years until his retirement. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps. Semper Fi. Mel is survived by his children David and Michael Melikian both of Johnston, Melanie Williams of Cranston and Dawn Melikian-Neff of South Kingstown. Mel was the cherished grandfather of two. His funeral service will be held in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a presentation of Military Honors.
