Uliana (Tiberi) Lanifero, 82, of Madison Avenue Cranston, died on Friday, June 5, 2009 at Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of Alfred D. Lanifero of Cranston. Born in Penowa, PA, she was a daughter of the late Felix and Agnes (Checca) Tiberi. Mrs. Lanifero was a supervisor for New England Tel & Tel for 42 years prior to retiring. She was a member of St. Mary's Church , Italian Culture Society and a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Uliana leaves 9 nieces and nephews and 17 great nieces and great nephews. She was the sister-in-law of Peter Ceprano of Cranston. She was also the sister of the late Leonora Ceprano, Filomena and Felix Tiberi. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 9:00am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Avenue Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Cranston at 10:00am. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Monday morning 8-9am.
