Tiberio Ciccone

87, of Cranston passed away on SaturdayOctober 3, 2020.  Tiberio leaves behind his beloved wife of 59 years, Pia (Palazzo) Ciccone.  Born on April 7th 1933 in Itri, Italy, he was the son of the late Domenico Ciccone and Alessandra (Capotosto).

Tiberio was a devoted father to his son Dino Ciccone and his wife Katie and his daughter Daniela Ciccone.  His three granddaughters, Rita, Lucia and Nora were the light of his life and they proudly called him Nonno.  Besides his wife, children, and grandchildren he is survived by his younger siblings Remo and Eva Ciccone, both of Italy. He was also a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews in the United States and Italy. His immediate and extended family, whether near or far, were very dear to him.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Antonio, Amedeo, Lelio , his sisters Livia and Irma (Ciccone) DelBove and is now reunited with his two beloved infant children, Rita and Dani.

Tiberio immigrated to Cranston, RI in 1956 with his sister Irma in search of economic opportunity.  He worked hard to provide for his family, first as a mason and later at the Cranston Sewage Treatment Plant.  He was proud to call America his home, yet he always held Italy close to his heart and enjoyed visiting his hometown and family regularly. He was a devout Catholic and proud charter member of the St. Mary’s Feast Society.

Tiberio was best known for telling great stories, his unique sense of humor, his long walks and an abundance of energy that did not seem to lessen with age. He was a generous person who was always ready to assist anyone in need.  He enjoyed working in his garden, having coffeeand spending time with family and friends.

Visiting hours will be Friday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.  His Mass of Christian Burial will be private.
