79, of Exeter, formerly of Cranston, passed peacefully on November 15th, 2007 with his dear wife and his beloved children at his side at South County Hospital from complications of Alzheimer's disease. He was the loving husband of 53 years to Josephine "Jay" (Cerio) Zarrella. He is survived by his 3 devoted children; Thomas Zarrella Jr. and wife Lynn of Warwick, Karen Horn and husband Danny of MA, and Linda Fiore and husband Andrew of Exeter. He was the proud "Papa" of Justin and Casey Zarrella, Sylvie and Mark Horn, and Andrew, Matthew, and Nicole Fiore. He has 6 siblings, Adeline Riccio of Cranston and Florida, Mary Mastrangelo of Cranston, Joseph Zarrella of Cranston and Florida, Raymond Zarrella of Cranston, Catherine Ferry of Florida, and the late Vincent Zarrella of Cranston. As the proprietor of Garden City Bowling Lanes for 32 years, he was elected and served as President of the New England Duckpin Bowling Proprietors Association from 1960-1973. He served on the committee to organize the National Duckpin Youth Association in 1972 serving as Director in 1973-1974, and as President from 1982-1986. Tom is fondly remembered by many youth and adult duckpin bowlers in Rhode Island as well as nationally. He was a dedicated family member who will be remembered and admired by many and missed by all. Mr. Zarrella was also a WW II US Marine Corps Veteran. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10 am in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Ave. Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery Cranston.
